It has come to our attention that there is a Spyder Laser Alignment "Imposter" out in Spyder Land , after many phone calls to our shop we where alerted to some "suspicious" pictures on Facebook…below are some pictures of the "pirated" laser version

im·pos·tor or im·pos·ter ( m-p s t r). n. " One who engages in deception "

This is NOT THE PATENTED TRUE LASER TRACK/ OUTLAW/ ROLO LASER ALIGNMENT SYSTEM…this is a Craftsman laser line with a homemade steel mandrel…the targets& scales are a copy of ours and the entire process of coming off from the center of the hub is a copy of ours. Mike holds the patent on any laser alignment that comes off the CENTER of the spindle or hub or axle , it took 2 years to come up with a PERFECT manufacturing process…do you really believe that a line laser from China is going to be accurate ? All our patented parts are made in the USA and are PERFECT.. After looking at these FB pictures our patent attorney deemed this a Clear Cut case of Patent Infringement…this pirated version was out making money…and THAT is against the law. You cannot gain profit on a homemade device that infringes on a already granted USA Patent. Mike has had the Laser patent for over 10 years and it has been tested and tried by some big companies and they have all FAILED to steal his patent. Mike has tried every and all lasers out there to find the most accurate…a laser line IS NOT ACCURATE..it goes threw a prism which spreads the laser beam…a laser line is made for hanging pictures on a wall not aligning race cars or even Spyders
We will pursue legal action : both civil and criminal to any one that uses this pirated system or anyone that aids or abed the pirates that are aligning Spyders with it. There are laws against theft of intellectual property and patent infringements…this is not a laughing matter. If this system is so great let the pirates spend $20,000.00 to get their own patent…but that's not going to happen… WE ALREADY HAVE IT….I would add that anyone who suspects that this pirated system was used on their Spyder ...did not get their moneys worth, I would be calling a Authorized Outlaw/Rolo Dealer to double check alignment. By using a Laser Line it will not be accurate.

Here's just a few remarks about the Craftsman Laser Trac:

" Laser unlevel " Bought this to hang a bunch of shelves and hoped to use it for many more projects in the future. I put it on the tripod and leveled it. The line on the wall was nowhere near level. Over 2' it was out 1/4". I repeatedly adjusted it hoping it would work but it was a no-go. I bought it today and will return it tomorrow.

A real piece of junk!...I've had this level for about two years and decided to use it to hang cabinets. When you level the laser the line is over 1 1\4" off in six feet. If you can't level the unit the line is useless. So much for Sears tools.

Out of 74 reviews...45 of them where 3 stars or LESS...meaning "not to impressed" and probably would never buy this level again
